The most significant project of the Maris Liepa Charitable Foundation is the LES SAISONS RUSSES XXI.
The foundation has been restoring the great tradition - Russian Seasons of Sergei Dyaghilev, the brightest figure in the world culture process. Sergei Dyaghilev’s Russian Seasons boomed to the glory of the Russian national art in Paris, London, Rome, in all largest European capitals. Each of the Russian Seasons event, whether an exhibition, a ballet or a concert, wrote a new page in the chronicles of the world culture. Crème de la crème of the Russian artistic and actors community such as Benois, Bakst, Grabar, Larionov, Serov, Chaliapin, Rimsky-Korsakov, Rachmaninoff, Fokine, Stravinsky, Pavlova, Nijinsky and others at various times participated in Russian seasons. They were supported by likeminded Europeans - Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Georges Braque, Giacomo Balla, Jeannes Cocteau…
Russian Seasons of the XXI century include reconstructed ballets, exhibitions and other cultural projects of the original Russian Seasons, enriched by the energy of present days, as well as achievements of the modern Russian culture united by the common idea of demonstrating the best creations of the Russian music, dance and art.
